Women Self Defense Class

Join us at Mattix Academy for an empowering and action-packed self-defense class exclusively for women. Learn essential techniques and gain the confidence to protect yourself in any situation. Our experienced instructors will guide you through practical exercises and teach you effective strategies to enhance your personal safety. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this in-person event is open to all.

Due to space capacity, we are limiting to 16 individuals to provide best instructional assistance while drilling and performing the techniques. If tickets are sold out, check out the upcoming events page for future.

This class

This class will be focused on fundamental movements such as proper falling and standing up, understanding balance, grip breaking, basic strikes (jab, cross, hook, and upper cut) and exploring the pocket.

There are two options to purchase a ticket:

• Single Admission Ticket $35
• (2) Admission Tickets $60

Agenda:

• 8:30-9 am: Check-in, Sign Waive, Networking
• 9 - 9:20 am: Warmups
• 9:20-9:50am: Technique + Drilling
• 9:45-10am: Q/A
• 10-10:30: (OPTIONAL) mats available for additional practicing

What to bring?

• Comfortable workout clothes
• Water

Key points to know:

• Shoes are not worn on the mat. You will be barefoot.
• Water and poweraid available for purchase.
• A waive will be required for you to sign before getting on the mats.
• No shoes are allowed on the mats. When you enter, please place your shoes on the shoe racks in front of the mat.
• Carry your shoes with you if you use the restroom. To maintain clean mats, we ask all students to wear shoes while using the restroom, then take the shoes off to walk on the mats
• The techniques we will teach will have you falling on the floor and taking you out of your comfort zones. We will have instructors on the mat to ease any discomfort.
