Here are some purr-fect tips to keep your holidays scam-free:
1. "Too Good to Be True" Deals? Roar, Itās a Trap! š¾
Scammers love offering crazy goodĀ deals on trendy gifts. If something sounds way too cheap, itās probably a scam trying to snatch your info. Stick to trusted brands and stores!
2. Fake Charity Alerts: Stay Cautious, Sweetheart š
The season of giving is lovely, but donāt be tricked into donating to a fake charity. Double-check charities before donating (sites like Charity Navigator are your BFF).
3. Online Shopping? Be a Detective! š
If youāre shopping somewhere new, do a quick check. Look for secure websites with "https://" and read customer reviews. If something feels fishy, it probably is!
4. Phishing Emails: Not the Fun Kind of Fishing! š£
Emails asking you to act fast? Theyāre usually fake. Donāt click links or download attachments from unfamiliar sources. Always double-check the sender before taking action!

Keep your phone and computer updated with the latest security. And remember, public Wi-Fi is not your friendāavoid using it for shopping or sensitive tasks!
7. Track Those Purchases Like a Pro šļø
Keep an eye on your bank accounts for any weird charges. Set up alerts so you can catch anything suspicious right away.
8. Fake Package Alerts? Not This Time! š¦
Getting a āyour package is on the wayā text or email? It might be a scammer trying to get you to click on something sketchy. Always go directly to the retailerās website to track your orders.
9. Create Strong Passwords Like a Boss š
Use strong, unique passwords for every site. Your online security deserves extra love this season! Pro tip: Use a password manager to keep things organized.
10. Trust Your Instincts, Youāre a Lioness After All š¦š«
